Mercer Clan takes home Enduro 200 checkers!

August 14, 2011 Sunday afternoon turned out to be a beautiful day for racing in the Geary woods with the Enduro drivers doing holding their 2nd event of the year. Twenty cars took to the track with something to prove under the hot sun.

In the first Enduro fans were treated to five rollovers and this one did not disappoint fans either. The first car to do a rollover was the #5 of Richard Caissie who landed on his roof after an accident between turn 3 and 4 during the first 75 lap segment. In the second 75 lap segment, Nathan Gallant in his #18 car topped all rollovers in recent years. Gallant easily rolled over 6 to 7 times at full speed finally landing on all four tires. Gallant was shaken up during the incident but would be ok.

Nott comes from the back to take Firecracker 150!

Fredericton N.B: Glyn Nott of Burton qualified for the Firecracker 150 in the last chance heat and was sent to the back in the early going, but found a way to the front and held on for the victory.

Losing his power steering in the early going, Nott pushed his way from the back to sixth by the caution t lap 43. He was into the fifth spot a lap later and fourth by lap 46.

Nott had pushed into the top three on lap 49 and second on lap 53. Taking the lead on lap 58 he would hold on until the competition caution at lap 75.

Fredericton N.B. – Speedway 660 brings an action packed weekend to the Geary Woods this weekend with only three weeks remaining before SPEEDWEEKEND.

Saturday night the Firecracker Sportsman 150 is on track, showcasing some of the best Sportsman talent in the region as the Speedway 660 Pro Stock division has the week off as the Atlantic Cat 250 runs this weekend at Scotia Speedworld in Halifax.

With three weeks of points racing remaining in the RV World Street Stock, Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero, and the 4 Cylinder divisions, every point will count this weekend.

Four-time division champion Rick Cashol of Saint John currently leads the RV World Street Stock division in points over Benji Ruff of Carlow by seven, with Shannon Brake of Quispamsis 26 points behind Cashol in third.

We will once again be offering reserved seating for the Auto Value Pro Stock 250 this year. The top 5 rows ONLY in each section along the front stretch will be reserved seating as well as the top 5 rows in several of the larger sections in the licensed area.

JULY 9th - July 29th - 2010 Reserved Seat Holders will have the opportunity to renew their seats for 2011

Arbeau dominates Street Stock 75!

Fredericton, NB: Racing only part-time this season, Josh Arbeau of Burton led all 75 laps to take the RV World Street Stock 75.

Starting the race alongside Rick Cashol of Saint John Arbeau held off Cashol for the first 10 laps before Cashol fell back a few spots. He would fall to the back of the field before eventually pitting midway through the race. Kevin McKeen of Upper Kingsclear moved into second, but Arbeau was too strong and opened up his lead.

McKeen would end up with an eventual second place finish, while third place finisher Benji Ruff of Carlow worked his way from a fifth place starting spot to third on lap 66 passing Peter Martin of Saint John.

Street Stock 75 kicks off final stretch of season!

Fredericton N.B. - Coming off their only off weekend of the racing season, Speedway 660 will see the RV World Street Stock cars in the Street Stock 75 this weekend.

Speedway 660 will see another winner in the 75 lap feature as Peter Gaddess, last year’s winner has moved into the Sportsman division, making room for a new winner.

Four-time track champion and reigning champion Rick Cashol has been trading the points lead this season with Benji Ruff so these two can be expected to make a strong push for the victory.

Regular points racing will take place in the O’Leary Auto Group Pro Stock, Martins Home Heating Sportsman, Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero, and 4 Cylinder divisions as the final push for the points championships begins this weekend as well.

Another action packed weekend is waiting to happen, so come on out to the Geary Woods this weekend and check out Speedway 660 for some WicKID Family Fun!

Saturday, August 6th @ 7:00 p.m.

Pit gates open at 2:30 p.m.
Grandstands open at 5 p.m.

RV World Street Stock’s Rule!
Our mid-summer break is almost over and this weekend Speedway 660 kicks off its stretch run. The RV World Street Stock 75 is the highlight of Saturday night’s racing program. You will also see the Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros, 4 cylinders, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and O’Leary Auto Group Pro Stocks all racing for championship points.

But it’s the street stockers who will be front and center with their biggest race of the year. Most of the time street stocks play 3rd fiddle behind the Sportsman and Pro Stockers, but not this Saturday. The “ultimate creature feature” is 75 laps and that’s almost four times as long as their regular 20 lappers.
