Martins $3000 to win Firecracker Sportsman 150 Rescheduled for next Saturday Aug 18th!

Officials at Speedway 660 have decided to reschedule tonight’s Martins Home Heating Firecracker Sportsman 150 due to forecasted rain and showers throughout the day.   The showers and light look like they will just drag out throughout the day into the evening and officials wanted to make a decision early to give the racing community a chance to get back their day today.

Next Saturday night fans can look to see the Martins “$3000 to Win” Firecracker Sportsman 150 as well as all other racing divisions including the AL Gullison Pro Stocks, RV World Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros. Note the Martins Home Heating Sportsman division will be competing only in the 150 as there will be no sportsman points feature as previously scheduled.

The Enduro 200 scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm is still on schedule.  Check Sunday morning for updates on the weather.

Enduro Action This Sunday at 2pm! - Part of Double Header Weekend at Speedway 660

Enduro fans will see the second Enduro of the the year this Sunday at 2pm.  Pre-registration for the event is significantly stronger than the season opener so fans can expect to see a great car count this Sunday! There is no Sunday raindate for the Martins Sportsman 150 schedule for Saturday night of the doubleheader so in the event on inclement weather on Saturday the Enduro will still run on Sunday weather permitting. Check the Speedway 660 raceline at 506-454-7223 throughout the weekend for updates on the action!

$3K to win the Firecracker 150 at Speedway 660!

There are three thousand reasons for Sportsman drivers to come to Speedway 660 this weekend. The Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 pays three grand to win and an extra hundred dollars in prize money will be added to every other top ten driver’s winnings.

The Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 pays $3000 to win and is expected to draw a strong field of Sportsman cars and a large crowd on Saturday night at Speedway 660.

A Conversation with Glyn Nott: A Speedway 660 Firecracker!

Glyn Nott has been racing at Speedway 660 for the better part of two decades. The veteran Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman driver has had plenty of success in events like this weekend’s Firecracker 150. Wade Wilson had a Conversation with Glyn while sitting around the Nott campfire at Speedway 660.

Glyn Nott, the defending Firecracker 150 champion, is expected to be one of the top contenders in this year’s race. Glyn and the other Speedway 660 weekly Sportsman drivers should face some stiff competition, from visiting race teams, in Saturday’s Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150.

Our Big Bang Theory – Wade’s Weekly #13

Everyone loves a good fireworks show, but I also like firecrackers, especially when Sportsman race teams are involved! This Saturday night at 7PM, Speedway 660 will host one of the most anticipated Sportsman races of the season. It’s the Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 and it’s going to be a blast!

Remember earlier in the season when the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 100 got washed out? I sure do. Fans always like the longer Sportsman races and everyone was disappointed we got rained-out on June 23rd. But Speedway 660 officials and Richard Martin put their heads together and came up their version of the Big Bang Theory.

The Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 is scheduled for 7PM this Saturday. Sportsman racing at Speedway 660 is always exciting but this weekend’s race should take that excitement to a whole new level.

A Break in the Action!

It will be dark and quiet in the Geary Woods this Saturday night. That’s because Speedway 660 and its fans, sponsors, race-teams, employees and volunteers are taking the weekend off.

“Everyone deserves a break before we head into the stretch run because after this weekend we’ll being going wide-open until the season ends on SpeedWeekend” said Speedway 660’s Steve Burns. “2012 has been a fantastic season and we know with championships on the line and the Auto Value 250 just around the corner it’s going to be a great finish to the racing year.”

After the New Brunswick Holiday Weekend, race fans will be headed back to Speedway 660 for an exciting final month of the 2012 racing season. The Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 for Sportsman cars is scheduled for August 11th and racing continues every weekend until SpeedWeekend wraps up the season on September 3rd.

A Conversation with Chris Johnston and Steve & Tracey Burns: A Speedway 660 Update.

Speedway 660 is taking this weekend off. The long weekend in August is a time for race teams, fans and Speedway 660 employees and volunteers to take a break before the stretch run. Wade Wilson recently sat down with Speedway 660’s Chris Johnston and Steve & Tracey Burns to have a Conversation about racing in the Geary Woods.
