Racing Action Returns to Speedway 660 this Weekend!

It’s that time of year again, the wait is over, let the summer festivities begin. This Saturday the 2011 season will open with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener. There will be points racing in every division, the RVWorld Street Stocks, the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, and Pro Stocks. In addition fan will see the return of the 4 cylinder division and the Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero division. Everything gets underway at 7pm with heats, dashes and features in all divisions. In addition fans will see Bandolero and 4 Cylinder heat races at approx 6:20pm.

The smell of fresh paint will be in the air as teams unveil their new rides for 2011. There will be several new cars in each division as well as the cagy veterans that will be looking for another successful year. The Hanwell Village Mart Bandolero division and the 4 cylinder division look to have doubled in car count over the winter also.

In the RV World Street Stock division Rick Cashol ended the 2010 race season on a high note picking up the points championship and will be back to try and defend his title.

With another close battle in the Martins Home Heating 2010 championship we’re expecting another amazing year of Sportsman racing. 2010 Champ Ken Mackenzie will be looking to defend his amazing 2010 run with another championship.

Can 2010 Pro Stock Champion Chris Duncan win his third championship? He’ll be looking to get an early jump on Greg Fahey, Dave O’blenis and all the other 2011 championship entries.

Car counts are looking great for all divisions with some new rookies and returning veterans. There will be many more exciting things to come in the coming year at Speedway 660.

Along with the addition of new divisions of racing this year will also see the return of the Pro All Star Series from New England for a 200 lapper on June 11. SPEEDWEEKEND and the Auto Value 250 will again mark the last event of the 2011 season and always is a huge success drivers coming from all over Canada and the United States.

This weekend, don’t miss it, the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season promises to be a spectacular event.

Saturday, May 28 at 7:00pm
Pit gates open at 1pm
Grandstands open at 5pm
Racing starts at 7pm (Bando and 4cyl Heats at 6:20pm, regular show starts at 7:00pm)
Regular points racing in Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, RV World Street Stock, and Pro Stock divisions as well as the Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros and 4 cylinder.

Adults (16 and over) $12
Youth (ages 9-15) $9
Children (ages 8 and under) FREE

Family Pass: Two Adults, Two Youth plus 4 pop and 4 fries for $35.

Speedway 660 is the place for “Wic KID Family Fun”. The 1/3 of a mile high-banked paved oval features three classes of racing on a weekly basis: Pro Stocks, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman, and RV World Street Stocks, Hanwell Village Mart Bandoleros and 4 Cylinders. Over 70,000 people are expected to attend events during the 2011 season. Speedway 660 is located off highway 7 on Route 660 in Geary, NB, and is within minutes of Saint John and Fredericton.
