The count-down is on for one of Atlantic Canada’s biggest Sportsman races of the season. Race teams are working over-time this week to prepare their cars for the Martin’s Home Heating Firecracker 150 which goes this coming Saturday night at Speedway 660.

“Richard and Anne Martin have topped up the purse which includes a three thousand dollar pay-out to the winner of the Firecracker” said Speedway 660’s Chris Johnston. “Our weekly drivers are excited about this race and we expect a lot of interest from Sportsman teams, across the region, so the competition is going to be intense.”

Race fans are encouraged to visit the Speedway 660 website throughout the coming week for more information including a Conversation with Glyn Nott, the 2011 Firecracker 150 winner.
